Sorì Pradurent is a source of family pride in the Alario household.

Claudio was well aware of the many great wines that had come from this area and had been trying to purchase a vineyard in this Sorì for decades. It seemed natural to have to wait such a long time to secure a vineyard in this position, adding mass selection work to achieve our goal, which was to produce a great Dolcetto di Diano d’Alba Superiore, rich and fresh, capable of withstanding decades of ageing in the cellar.

Our vineyard dates back to 2003 and the first harvest was in 2006; production is extremely limited, and the vines produce bunches with smaller and more sparse grapes than the rest of the Dolcetto vines in the area. The tufaceous veining of the soil mixed with a significant percentage of limestone make Sorì Pradurent the vineyard of choice for our most distinctive Dolcetto di Diano.
