The cellar is a fundamental element in the creation of every bottle that bears the Alario Claudio label.

If, as we believe, great wines are made in the vineyard, it is also true that the way the wine is handled from the very first moment the grapes enter the cellar to the very last moment, when the bottle leaves the winery, is an essential ingredient of every great wine. We learned very early on just how important it is to take care of details in the winery, monitoring the evolution of the grapes and working with transparency, skill and passion day after day.
We combine the cleanliness required to produce a visually and aromatically crystal-clear wine, tasting each barrel several times a month and selecting the coopers best suited to our needs.
Our love for our vineyards obliges us to operate frugally, avoiding predetermined formulas. We prefer to follow the course of each harvest so that every bottle contains what nature gives us each year, with its different characteristics, making it all the more important to preserve.

La storia della nostra cantina - Alario Claudio

Our focus on just a few native grape varieties has given us the knowledge of how best to do things in the Winery.

Dolcetto di Diano d’Alba has always been with us because it is part of our family’s rural DNA. Barbera is equally important, as this grape accompanies every convivial moment with character and pleasantness. Nebbiolo is, of course, the King of the Langhe: having the opportunity to manage four high-level vineyards is a challenge we want to meet with commitment, passion, precision and love.
